What kind of services does Orvado provide?

What Does "Orvado" Mean?
If you were wondering where in the heck the name "Orvado" came from, then you are out of luck. Orvado is just a name that we came up with that is short and easy to remember. It is also the name of a small area in Nevada.

We prefer to use a name that doesn't have any preconceived notions attached to it and won't give anyone any connotations, negative or otherwise.

Why Do I Need a Web Site?
If you have to ask this question, then chances are, you probably do not need a Web site. Web sites are useful because you can create a place on the internet that is accessible from anywhere in the world.

You can use your site as a personal site, hobby site, business site, resource site or project management site. Pre-packaged software is often freely available (for UNIX) to make the specialized Web site of your choice.

Individuals often build a Web site to create a blog (or personal diary of their life) or an online photo album. Or if you have a hobby or special interest, you can promote that through your site.

Business owners can tap into another advertising medium with their Web site. Through a site, you can promote products and services and run special "Internet promotions" to help drive customers to your business.

What's Involved in Building a Web Site?
To answer this question, you will need to ask yourself: "Am I a do-it-myself type of person who is comfortable with computers?" If your answer is "Yes", then we have some excellent articles in our support area that will guide you through the process and explain all of the requirements. If your answer is "No", you can still have a Web site built by the kind people at Orvado. Just tell us your requirements and we will explain to you what is necessary and how we can build a professional web site tailored just for you!
